How I Celebrated

Fettuccini is a quick one if you buy the premade sauce like I did. But, with the whole wheat noodles I had, I would suggest cooking them longer than the package suggests. The first noodle I tried was al dente, but then while I was trying to enjoy my meal, it tasted a bit uncooked in the center. At least is it Super Bowl Sunday. That means I can eat a bunch of other snacks including my traditional trifle to get over it!

History

Punchbowl
Interesting that this dish was invented for this guy's wife to start eating again after giving birth. I wonder if I could have that problem. In a way that is sad, cause Nate won't invent any amazing foods to entice me to eat, cause I'm always hungry. He needs to do the opposite. Damn Americans, right?

Merchandise

I have no room for all of the crazy kitchen gadgets that are out there. I would like to try making pasta though. I should just take a cooking class that does that once. Although, I feel like the cooking class would cost more than the pasta maker :P

Restaurants

  • Go to Alfredo alla Scrofa for "the original Fettuccine" in Italy
  • Here are the places that foursquare suggests in LA
  • Go to any Italian restaurant. I can't find any famous places because I guess it is just too similar. Well, if you want to spend all your money on a simple dish, you can hang out with these cats on chowhound
