How I Celebrated
I was thinking of making candied almonds because I had never made them before. However, there are just too many sweet days and Nate reminded me that it is probably not a good idea. Almond milk is good too, and we found it for ONE DOLLA

History
PunchbowlSo I once heard a girl in highschool telling people that her mom made her eat a handful of almonds every day to make sure she didn't get stretch marks in the future when she had kids. Quite an interesting strategy. I wonder how that worked for her. So if almonds are just the seed of a fruit, is the fruit not edible? I definitely prefer almonds to peanuts in candies, like my favorite m&ms. However, I don't know why they don't make peanut milk like they do in China. That stuff is sooo good. I wonder if I could find some around Chinatown.

Restaurants
- Almond Haus just opened here in LA. It looks to be a cafe that uses almond milk for their concoctions
- There is also an Almond restaurant in New York. They advertise as seasonal, local, and artisanal.
- Try visiting an almond farm like the Briden Wilson Farm. And conserve water! Almonds are one of the major crops threatened by California drought!
