How I Celebrated
I have been eating my box of Captain Crunch since I bought it a while ago at the dollar store (quite a good deal, eh?) but I have been saving the rest just to eat today. I also thought I would eat one of my favorite recipes of popcorn, hurricane popcorn. It isn't the store bought super expensive and delicious very processed one, it is just a version I found on the internet with Aloha shoyu, furikake, and rice cracker mix. Oh and dont forget the real butter (unsalted because the soy sauce is already salty. ENJOY :)

History
PunchbowlI did not realize that popcorn was a specific kind of corn. I guess I used to think that the regular kernels were dried? But I never heard of anyone growing/ producing their own popcorn either.
Merchandise
I don't remember when it was, but when I tried kettle corn, I thought it was the best popcorn ever (probably because it was new. I had that same experience when I first had cream soda too). The most I have ever spent on popcorn is probably whenever I get the real Hawaiian Hurricane popcorn packs. So expensive, but so delicious. Also, who freaking buys popcorn at movies still? Talk about throwing money away...

Restaurants
- Here are some popcorn restaurants in LA (you know, like popcorn chicken)
- There is a popornopolis in Universal Studios, but I think this is the gourmet stuff they have at costco.
- I remember going past a store like this in the mall as a kid with all these different colors and flavors of popcorn.
