How I Celebrated

My proportions were a bit off with the hot dogs and biscuits. I didn't realize they would puff up so much (shows you how much I cook biscuits). The dough also does not stretch well so I didn't feel like I could stretch it over the whole hot dog. Pretty good snack, but could use some sauce. Mate is so delicious. I just started mixing with lemon this month. Pretty tasty. I only used milk and honey this time though.

Diet Helpers 

• Sugar Free

  Pigs in a blanket are savory, just watch out for what kind of hot dogs or biscuits you are using. You don't have to use sugar in your mate. I use honey.

• Gluten Free

  Check your biscuits! Here is a recipe for you

• Vegetarian

  Make sure to have vegetarian hot dogs. You may want to make your own or use a trusted brand because I just read that a lot of veggie dogs still contain meat!

I did not know it was such a popular dish around the world. I also do not think I have tried a vienna sausage version. Maybe I'll put that in the works.
