How I Celebrated

I have heard of people using applesauce as a substitute for oil or butter in a cake, but not really ever a cake centered around applesauce. It was pretty tasty even though the texture was not very cake like. I also was kind of full from earlier festivities so it was not very easy to enjoy. We even tried to make a quarter size of the recipe. That may have been part of the problem with baking it, we had to guess on time and there was extra egg (how do you split an egg in half?)

History

I know people use applesauce as a substitute for stuff in baking. Pretty smart and can be healthier if you do not add extra sugar.
