How I Celebrated
It only specifically says "Turkey Day" but you know I showed you one of my plates! Also, the anchovies just tasted like tuna. Hate the bone texture though. Also, today I learned Nate is much better at cooking correct portions than I am.

Here are some alternatives for turkey. Some interesting vegan "sardine" recipe.

History
PunchbowlThere is all kinds of hokey pokey stories about thanksgiving. I will say, I am always thankful for food. I am thankful when I get invited to eat someone else's thanksgiving feast and I am thankful that I know how to cook my own!
Sardines on the other hand. I don't know how I feel about them still. They kind of creep me out and I have tried them canned in tomato sauce. I kind of want to just fry them. I think if I cover the shiny skin it will help.
