How I Celebrated

Nate surprised me by being home before me and having this delicious dessert made! Unfortunately I had to end the deliciousness with a bite of kale for kale day. I will say that the strong grassy taste of kale cuts right through the sweetness of the dessert so if you are looking for something to set your taste buds straight, that would be the answer.

Punchbowl
 I had not heard of this dessert either. A brown Betty is basically a bread pudding with apples.
I did not realize kale was edible for a long time. I usually only saw it as decoration on salad bars.
