How I Celebrated

Root Beer Floats again. Not a bad thing, but it is crazy how many repeat days there are. Could people not look this stuff up? I guess the internet is still young.

How I Celebrated

My day seems to have been sandwiched with disappointing things. First, the whole health insurance nonsense, and second, a very sad food day. I know it says clams but I have heard that clams are the same thing as oysters. Anyhow, I think there was already an oyster day and I had the same thing so at least I wasn't expecting it to be good.

I think I have heard that oysters and beer go together. Not sure how true that is. I have opened an oyster to get a few pearls in Hawaii, but I don't know about eating them. I have had and used oyster sauce though.

How I Celebrated

I had another ice cream sandwich with those leftover chocolate chip cookies, but I didn't film it because talk about repeats, boring right? So I tried out those simply made keebler ones. They pretty much taste like those shortbread cookies with chocolate chips in them. Hardly what a simply home made chocolate chip cookie would taste like, and a far cry from chips ahoy. Don't know if that is what they were going for, but calling it a chocolate chip cookie is a bit misleading.

We had some peanuts on hand, so I grabbed some. Also, we grabbed a watermelon yesterday at random and I have to say, we picked a pretty good one. And what is up with tiny personal watermelons having the same price as a giant watermelon? Dumb.

How I Celebrated

Welcome to August everyone! The time seems to be moving faster than I can and I'm not as ahead as I used to be.  Today, I think I was expecting something more like raspberry cheesecake, but it ended up being more tart and not so creamy. The crumble was kind of a lot and Nate decided to substitute the walnuts with peanuts so it kinda tasted like a PB&J. I'm selling it a bit short, it wasn't bad, just not at all what I was expecting.
